I’m a mom, a health professional, and someone who loves to bring people together when there is a natural possibility of creating something special.
In 2012 I opened the Yoga Loft with the intention of creating a dedicated non-hot yoga space where we could practice, develop community, and feed our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. I was also keen to expand my children’s yoga offerings. I was joined at that time by 5 teachers. Together we created a space for practice that is nourishing and welcoming.
Four years later our teaching community and staff has expanded to include a dedicated trade group and a group of students who practice the way they need to, when they need to. Some of you come once a week. Some more that once a day. We love having you at the studio.
Last weekend our team gathered for dinner. It is a rare day when we are able to find a good time to get together, but we managed to have 18 of our 25 strong clan join us. One thing that really struck me was that while much has stayed the same, our team has expanded exponentially, as have our offerings. My goal is to encourage each teacher to teach what they love so you experience them teaching authentically and loving what they do. Every class on the schedule is a mindful offering.
Some of you I have not met yet. Please feel free to say hi if you see me at the studio, or to email me directly at email@example.com if you have a question you’d like me to answer. Our community is bigger but not so big that I don’t want to get to know you!
Those of you who have been with us since those early days- I can’t thank you enough for helping us make the Yoga Loft a community for everyone. We are all part of the fabric and your support is treasured. Thank you all!
