Yoga for Anxiety
Spend a weekend exploring how asana, pranayama and meditation practices support the physical body, the nervous and respiratory systems, and the mind in returning to homeostasis. We will practise, write, and engage in discussion in order to reflect on how as teachers we might support those living with the challenges of anxiety.
For keen students, yoga and meditation teachers, teachers in training, yoga practitioners and anyone studying and/or working in the mental health arena. CEU’s awarded through Yoga Alliance.
began practising yoga in 1984 with Esther Myers and Monica Voss. Her work is deeply influenced by her 17 yearsof experience with modern dance, contact improvisation and Body-Mind Centering. As co-owner and director at Esther Myers Yoga Studio, she teaches classes and teacher training and conducts retreats in Ontario, and internationally. Tama has been teaching and writing about yoga specifically for those living with anxiety and insomnia since 2007, and for depression and PTSD since 2009.
