Yoga has many benefits to teens. My primary goal as the instructor/guide for the teen yoga classes is to create an environment that creates access for students at all levels. Yoga benefits many aspects of our daily lives. These classes work with breath, mindfulness and movement. Designed to build confidence and enhance the ability to self- regulate emotions and anxiety, the classes improve the mind/body connection and inspire respect for self, others and the earth.
Partner or acro-yoga poses are occasionally incorporated, which teens enjoy. The classes will develop a deeper knowledge of Yoga philosophy, learning about the 8 limbs of yoga and how to apply them to our everyday life.

IMPORTANT: A Waiver from Parent or Guardian is required before teen attends class- it MUST accompany the teen to the first class they attend- PRINT WAIVER BY CLICKING HERE
About the Teacher:
Cherisse is a Tsilhqot’in holistic entrepreneur, yoga teacher, mother of two spirited young boys with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree who is committed to creating programs that offer Yoga for youth. She loves hiking, rollerblading, swimming and connecting to mother nature. Her outgoing personality and enthusiasm create an energy that will shine through during her teaching. She has completed a 25 hour and a 75 hour training with Vinyasa Yoga for Youth and has over 200 hours of experience delivering yoga to youth.
